Play sessions and family
swims are included at no extra cost in the Buckler Aquatics programme for the
benefit of both the children and their parents. Because parents are not
permitted in the pool area during lessons and are in a viewing lounge behind a
one-way glass it is sometimes difficult to experience what your child has
accomplished in their lessons.
There is an instructor in the water to show the
parents how to play constructively with their children. There is no charge for
the play sessions; the only stipulation is that the child be registered in our
programme. Days and times for play sessions and family swims vary by pool and
can be confirmed by the pool coordinator.
PLAY SESSIONS SHOULD BE FUN!
Two play sessions are scheduled each week of your
series at all three pools, one in the daytime and one in the evening. We
recommend play swim participation to all parents for three reasons:
1 ) First, to introduce the fun aspect of learning to swim, for both the
child and the parent!
2) Secondly, to enhance your child’s progress. The more a child is exposed
to the water, the sooner they will build up confidence, develop greater breath
control and endurance.
3) Third, it gives your child a chance to perform, a chance to show you
what they have accomplished.
BUCKLER AQUATICS FAMILY SWIM SESSIONS
Family swims are
included at no extra cost in the Buckler Aquatics programme for the benefit of the
registered children, their brothers and sisters as well as the parents. Once a
month, at all 3 pools, for 2 hours each, the family of the registered child are
encouraged to enjoy an open swim.
